	Abstract:	The Alianza Hispano Americana was founded in Tucson, Arizona in 1894 as a mutual aid benefit society for Mexicans in the Arizona territory. The collection features insurance documents that serve as legal evidence of financial transactions among members and within lodges. The materials include membership files containing legal and insurance records, lodge correspondence, administrative files like meeting minutes and financial papers, and printed materials. The materials are mostly written in Spanish. The Alianza was known to advocate for Mexican-American education and civil rights. La colección incluye documentos de seguros que sirven como testimonio legal de las transacciones financieras entre los miembros y dentro de las logias. Los materiales incluyen expedientes de afiliados cuales contienen registros legales y de seguro, correspondencia de las logias, fichas administrativas como actas de reuniones y documentos financieros, y materiales impresos. Los materiales son en su mayoría escritos en español. La Alianza era conocida como defensor de los derechos civiles y de los derechos de educación de los mexicanos-americanos. Although the collection extends from 1551 to 1981, the bulk of the material constitutes the products of Pradeau's research from 1910 to 1979. The collection has been arranged into eight series.
